WonderCon - the Best ComicCon!!!

After all the Cons we've been to, this is our favorite!

When we did WoncerCon last year, it made me realize that ComicCons are the correct path for us to promote our show. Since then, we've been to Long Beach Comic Con, Los Angeles Comic Con, NY Comic Con, and Emerald City Comic Con, and it wasn't until we went to WonderCon a second time (last weekend), that we realize WonderCon is the best Con for us. When we went to our first Con (Gallifrey One), we weren't sure that this was the right strategy. Then we went to our second Con (WonderCon) and we knew that we were in the right place and doing the right thing. That's why we continued doing the comic cons. And while they've been fruitful and worthy of going to conitnue promoting our show, our second time going to WonderCon made us realize that this comic con is catered to folks from the industry like us. In every other con Josie and I would attend panels together, but at WonderCon, there were so many good panels, that we had to seperate a number of times to make sure we made them all. At other Cons, we had plenty of time to visit the floor and see fan Q&As. But at Wondercon, we barely had a couple ours to check out the floor exhibits in the entire 3-day weekend, because we had to many industry panels to go to. I will say, we did get to go to Felicia Day's panel, and I got to geek out with her talking about MST3K (a delightful highlight). But I'm telling you, the panels are amazing at this Con. For example, the very first panel we attended, the moderator actually recognized us from his For You page on Insta (so that told us our social media marketing is working). Then, I had a 20-min conversation (accidentally monopolizing the Q&A) in one panel, and the panelists literally started watching T4DR as they were wrapping up the panel. And in one panel about pitching, everyone who went up to practice pitching didn't do well, but when I went up, it was excellent, and people in the audience asked for our cards so they could watch the show. In fact, in nearly every panel, when I got to ask a question and talk about our show, we had tons of people reaching out to us asking us for a card and sticker so they can watch the show. I'm telling you, this Con is perfect - not too big (like LA, NY, and Emerald City) but not too small. Our next Con isn't until July, so we'll be continuing our social media campaign, but that con is the con of cons! It's San Diego Comic Con! The largest Con in the world. I only hope they have as many good panels as WonderCon. Either way, we can't wait to promote T4DR there!
