Fan Expo Anaheim

Fan Expo was cute and held in the same Convention Center as WonderCon, so everything felt familiar. VidCon was taking place at the same time and took up most of the Convention - even the food trucks, so us little Fan Expo goers couldn'g get food truck eats. Slightly annoyed by that. Would we have paid for a badge to go? Not sure. Good thing we had an Industry Pro Badge! LOL

Some highlights are that we saw Corey Feldman and the Voice of Megatron (also Soundwave), so that made my day. But the Main Event was the Lord of the Rings panel with all the Hobits! Elijah Wood (Frodo Baggins), Sean Astin (Samwise Gamgee), Dominic Monaghan (Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck), and Billy Boyd (Peregrin "Pippin" Took) were up there talknig about their experiences and just plain having fun. It was palatable. They were so goofy and playful that the audience just had the most fun with them. Won't be forgetting that experience any time soon.

Fortunately, the con wasn't so big that we couldn't do every industry panel (our bread and butter) that we wanted. Met some nice people and cool filmmakers, you know networking, and we bought a few lego figures... Josie started a Lego Taylor Swift collection. Mighta been my fault cuz I got her the ERA's Tour Evermore set in Lego form. 

Overall, fun time, would do it again! I mean, Josie just loves being in the same vicinity as Disney, so...
